A very little mouse is inspired by the story of an amazing ball of light and, undaunted, leaves his cozy nest to venture off on a quest in search of it. What he finds is a prize far greater than the object he was searching for.

Originally written and illustrated for the 2014 Oregon Reflections Program, with the theme “Dream, Believe and Inspire,” this book was honored with the State Award of Excellence for Literature.

Anne-Marie is an 11-year old living in Portland, Oregon. From a very early age, she was drawing and doodling at every opportunity, and continues to do so, especially in her math workbooks! This book was written and illustrated whilst she was in fifth grade. She has a passion for art and illustration, loves swimming, enjoys dance and plays the piano.

She shares her cozy “nest” with her mother and two sisters.
